Several months ago Bernice Ross of Inman News Radio interviewed me and asked me questions about how to supercharge (or make the most out of) your Customer Relationship Manager (CRM).
I love technology. Of course, I always have my phone with me. And, I usually have either my laptop or my tablet, depending upon the situation. But, there always seems to be a time or an occasion when you need to write something down. For example, I know I’m not the only one who gets a phone call from someone who wants to share a property address or MLS number. Since I’m using my phone to chat, I find it awkward to also use my phone’s note taking apps simultaneously. And, after jotting down stuff on post-its and backs of envelopes and then misplacing those items, I figured a single book would be better. And, that’s what works for me!
In addition to keeping all my notes in one place, a planner that also helps you work “on” your business is a must. One of the great ways to work “on your business is through journaling (or writing in a journal). Journaling helps with reflecting, gaining clarity, and setting goals among other things.
How Does Journaling Help Gain Clarity?
Are you feeling stuck? Or perhaps you’re contemplating a new direction for your business or a new way of working your database or sphere? During times of deliberation or when you’re considering different aspects of your business and your life, journal writing can help. It can be a powerful way to connect with your core beliefs. It can also help you see the many options that will lead you to a bigger vision.
Through your journal, you can process your thoughts.
Writing slows down your thoughts and allows you to think more clearly and to process with more clarity. It can also help you focus your mind with laser-like accuracy, which is vital to goal setting.
The journal component of Pipeline Planner and the separate motivational journal (also available on Amazon) have been designed to help you supercharge your business, and improve the relationship with the contacts in your CRM. Along with the journal are thought-provoking questions that encourage you to think more deeply about different aspects of your business and how you can be your best self for your clients.

Pipeline Planner has all sorts of other cool tools that will help you not only stay organized “in” your business, but also work “on” your business as well. In the interview for Inman News Radio, we discussed many great ways (including journaling) that a paper planner can actually help you to supercharge your CRM.
